Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited (SCNL) is a subsidiary of SAIPEM S.PA., a global leader in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Project Management in the Energy Sector. Due to increasing workload and expansion of our offshore activities in Nigeria, we are seeking for highly qualified, pro-active, fast learning, well organized and motivated Personnel to reinforce our team.

Job Title: Draftsman-Offshore Structures (OFFDFTS)

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D drafting tasks and simple 3D modeling tasks assigned by the Offshore Structural Project Specialist Lead, Engineers and Designers.
• Interface with other Draftsmen and report on a continuous basis to Offshore Structural Project Specialist Lead, Engineers and Designers.
• Carry simple 3D modeling tasks with Tekla (or other similar 3D CAD tools, as requested).
• Carry out design drawings for primary, secondary and tertiary structures.
• Prepare bill of materials or material take off for requisitions.
• Maintains drawing register on a project-by-project basis which catalogues all drawings and sketches issued.
• Maintains drawing register on a project-by-project basis.
• Update the documents produced after reviews by other disciplines (inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders on the project (Client, Yards, Third party review, etc).

Required Professional Skills

• Detailed understanding of offshore structures like Jacket, Deck, Module and other miscellaneous structures.
• Knowledge of Discipline engineering design criteria, methods and workflows from conceptual phase up to site engineering phase.
• Ability to perform and coordinate Project engineering documents production activities, check review and design documents, prepared either internally or by Vendors.
• Knowledge of Discipline engineering design criteria, methods and workflows from conceptual phase up to site engineering phase.
• Ability to define the technical documents set based on Project quantities and scope of work.
• Ability to perform and coordinate Project engineering documents production activities and to check and review design documents, prepared either internally or by Vendors.

Qualification and Experience

• Good working knowledge and proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent software as well as detailed Knowledge of tools related to 2D and 3D modeling activities.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Marine and Offshore Structure drafting (Structural & Pipelines) in Offshore Oil & Gas/Marine industry.
• A Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering is Mandatory.
